When Monica Wise moved to California in 1999, she officially launched LSPACE with just a handful of reversible triangle bikinis. “One Saturday morning, I was driving around my business complex when I spotted a warehouse door open, revealing rolls and rolls of swimwear fabric. That’s how I met Cindy—who later became my best friend and the sole manufacturer of our swimwear for decades. I couldn’t have gotten where I did without her.”
The name LSPACE comes from the idea that bikinis take up limited space on your body—"L-Space"—but their impact is limitless. And that little star in our logo? It’s a symbol of how good you feel in our pieces. Because at the end of the day, we don’t just make swimwear. We make confidence.
Fast forward to 2008, and our first runway show introduced the fringe bikini. We quickly became a celebrity favorite, and with that, LSPACE was put on the map. That year alone, we sold nearly 90,000 units of the Audrey fringe top, cementing LSPACE as an iconic and coveted swim brand loved by celebrities and beach lovers alike.
